Strain names in the cannabis industry are not protected or standardised in most markets. Among indica weed seeds for sale, two packs carrying the same popular name may come from different breeders and contain noticeably different genetics. One version might descend from the original cutting, while another is a loose recreation based on similar parents. Looking at the breeder and the stated parentage, instead of the name alone, gives a more accurate idea of what will grow.
